The City of Alameda( Population: 80,000)
Planning, Building, and Transportation Department Located at City Hall, Ground Floor, 2263 Santa Clara Ave., Room 190, Alameda, CA 94501, and open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM( with a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and closed on Fridays), this is the main city office where most contractor activities take place: permits, plan review, inspection, scheduling, zoning questions, etc. Their phone number is( 510) 747-6800.
Business License Contractors must have a City of Alameda business license – you can contact their Business Support Center at( 510) 250-1889, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, or apply online.
