Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Award Nominations
The Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Laguna Niguel Citizen of the Year . This prestigious award was established in 1990 , as a joint project of Laguna Niguel service organizations ,
to recognize citizens who have demonstrated outstanding voluntary service to the community , making this a better place to live and work .
The nominee must live and perform service in Laguna Niguel . The service performed must be strictly voluntary , may not be part of a paid or elected position and may include acts of heroism , humanitarianism , charitable and / or other outstanding service . Volunteer work can be within the last year or over a span of several years .
Individuals and organizations throughout the community are encouraged to participate . Nomination forms will be available from March 1-31 at Laguna Niguel City Hall , Crown Valley Community Center , Sea Country Senior and Community Center , Laguna Niguel Family YMCA and the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce . The form can also be downloaded from the City ' s Website . Nomination forms must be submitted by Friday , March 31 in a sealed envelope to :

Join this free program and learn how to prepare yourself and your household for the next disaster . Topics will include : Disaster Preparedness , How to Build an Emergency Kit , Fire Safety & Fire Suppression , Medical Operations , Light Search & Rescue , Disaster Psychology , and more ! The academy is open to all adults and teenagers attending with a parent or guardian who live or work in the cities of Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel .
