Dear Readers,

.

"...the root of it all is our relationship to the peole we work to serve in all places...

We were so happy to meet many new families and some adults at our Easter Bunny visits at Ross Park and South Hills Village malls in late March. While  kids especially loved the bunny's fur and interacting without words, we enjoyed hearing how things are going for people, and the chance to offer support for various issues people face.

Everyone  involved was very autism-aware to  the point we did not have to say a word - from mall event managers to photographers and the bunny, they truly understood. Honestly, it was an all around happy morning!

Moving through the spring, we look forward to meeting new friends at Pittsburgh's Friends of the Riverfront who welcome us on April 29th with open ... paint cans?  Together with their community of followers, we'll help refresh the Color Park on Pittsburgh's South Side Riverfront Trail.

Thank you for sending us emails, phone calls, texts, cards, and photos, reminding us of the part we play in each others' lives.  Building new partnerships, going new places, and reaching new goals are constant quality improvements we strive to make, but the root of it all is our relationship to the people we work to serve in all places, of all ages, and in all stages of life.  Keep those contacts, questions, and new ideas flowing - like the rivers crisscrossing our state - this all gives us life and the energy required to help those needing it most.

Take good care this spring and I hope to connect with you soon!

We have built these kind of "nondisability" relationships for decades, and are super excited to join a community effort where people can meet new folks outdoors, pitch in to the work if they like, and see immediate results.  Please let us know of any similar organization you think would benefit from our fantastic autistic community's help and input!
