What is the DeKalb County Faith Network ?
PURPOSE : The DeKalb County Faith Network was created to improve reentry outcomes by streamlining and strengthening service delivery , maximizing access to housing , employment , physical and mental health opportunities , and reducing the stigma of justice involvement . We are a collective of faith communities and individuals interested in supporting successful reentry in DeKalb County , Georgia . We will use our network to learn and share successful strategies across Georgia for cultivating effective reentry for individuals returning from prison .
OBJECTIVES : To provide opportunities for the faith based community to collaborate with one another and the agency to address gaps in resources and service delivery . To provide short and long term opportunities for faith communities on the local , regional , and statewide levels to connect with and support justice-involved individuals currently under community supervision . To educate and learn from communities about reentry challenges and opportunities specific to their local communities in order to provide robust service delivery and targeted interventions .
NEXT MEETING : Join us June 7th at 11 am ;
