the traffic signals is July 2022 . With the signal poles upright , the installation of pedestrian push buttons and controller cabinets , as well as the wire pulling begins . There have been only minimal changes required to original construction plan – including the adjustment of an inlet due to the removal of a storm drain line intersecting Hacienda Avenue , which was caused by a utility issue .
With only some minor tweaks , the Hesperian Boulevard Corridor Improvement Project of San Lorenzo is well on its way to completion .
As ACPWA Construction Inspector James Lai explains , “ Comments from local businesses and residents to me and the project contractor have been very positive with regard to receiving adequate notification about work being conducted and in terms of our efforts to minimize interference from construction activities – such as providing for continuous driveway and sidewalk access .” Once completed , this comprehensive project will enhance traffic safety and further establish a livable community within Alameda County .
