Sorrow -4 / 2- Aux Lorraine Matia ( 19-01 ) had laser eye surgery for a retina tear .
JOY ! – 4 / 5 Congratulations to Aux Frank Williams ( 17-02 ) on becoming qualified on ANT Philadelphia ’ s 26 ’ TANB ( trailered aids to navigation boat ) as the newest crewman . This is an outstanding accomplishment , and a hard task to do . He will be busy working with the ANT as there newest crewman , verifying and doing maintenance on over 100 aids to navigation for them .
Sorrow – 4 / 14 I was informed of the passing of Aux Charles R Young ( 17-01 ) on June 6 , 2020 . His wife has also passed . He enrolled 17 Oct 1986 . In June , there was a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park , Huntington Valley PA . Donations are appreciated to the Shriner ’ s Hospital for Children .
JOY ! – Congratulations to Aux John Burns ( 08-02 ) on being awarded the Cape May County Hometown Heroes Award by the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation . John is a coxswain , Instructor , Vessel Examiner , Watchstander and TCT Training Facilitator .
