An Inside Look at Valley View JROTC

"JROTC has always been a big part in our lives. After so many years, it’s not only a class anymore, it’s more like a family. When we first started ROTC we were all new to each other, but every day that has passed, every year that we have spent together, our little community has gotten more and more united, and we have grown closer and closer together. Every single person has added their little piece to this community, but there are two people who have played a very important role in building this project, and without them nothing of this would have been possible. Those people are Colonel Clark and SFC Sprague, our JROTC teachers and leaders of our journey through this great adventure. The Color Guard is an event. In which our flag team comes together once a week and practice. We take pride in showing our nations and our state's colors. This tradition can go back to the olympics when the our country would present there colors before the olympic events. The Army put color guard into effect nearly 200 years ago. This team performs in anything the school asks them to and has to make strategic moves for the performance to be adequate enough for the U.S Colors."
