Blazer Soccer
The Valley View soccer teams are competing in games leading up to the state playoff. The path to state takes a lot of dedication and strive from the players. Which is a main reason why documenting these games is so important. Every one of the players on the team plays an important asset to the team as a whole. The Lady Blazers soccer team continues their season with a 18-4 record. After winning district champions and conference champions, they move on to the first rounds of the state tournament. The tournament is played in Batesville and the finals will be in Fayetteville. This team proved themselves this season by overcoming all their games with a league record of 8-0, continuing the Valley View girls’ soccer streak. The girls have worked very well together this season and the future of the Lady Blazers team is bright. Overall, they have done very well this season and they will keep working hard to earn the state title. As for the boys’ team, they continue their season with a 16-9-1 record. Jesus Mendoza breaks the number of most goals scored in a season with 35 goals as the team soars to victory. Head coach Ron Teat has worked very hard to get both teams ready and in shape this year in hopes that both teams will bring home the state title.
