Art : A celebration of every stage !
Year 8 ’ s have tackled tricky tasks such as drawing skulls from observation … check out Sabeeha ’ s beautiful skull drawing ! Year 9 ’ s have been busy analysing their own faces in order to put together the perfect portrait ; Umaira has produced a really lifelike study – well done !
Both Miss Gamble and Miss Reynolds have been busy with their own independent projects – Miss Gamble recently produced a pet portrait , whilst Miss Reynolds has contributed to the Year 10 Natural Forms project by creating this outstanding watercolour bird study !
Fabulous Food !
Key stage three students are doing so well in their food lessons . Practical sessions are underpinned with the theory of health / nutrition , food choices / provenance , and food safety / science … setting pupils up for life !
Year ten are now well over the half way mark of their first year in GCSE . They are covering the knowledge and understanding of food , also underpinned with practical tasks and food investigations .
Year eleven have just completed their None Exam Assessment in Food Investigation and Food Preparation . The results from their three hour food preparation tasks were stunning !
Year 10 Textiles Triumph !
Last newsletter we gave you a tiny peek into the Year 10 project of ‘ Moths and Butterflies ’. That project is now complete and Year 10 have done themselves proud !
Year 10 ’ s first dip into the world of GCSE Textiles focussed on skill building and experimentation . The project culminated in a large scale sculptural masterpiece .

Year 9 Identity Clocks
Year 9 students have been following the theme of identity to design and produce a personal clock solution . Students have been inspired by their own Bucket Lists , things they believe in , or as a remembrance to a family member or pet . Overall , the outcomes have been a joy to see , especially due to the personal nature of the project . Well done Year 9 !
