Fosterers needed We are currently looking for caring people who are willing to offer temporary homes to some of the dogs that come into the Centre. There are many reasons why dogs in our care go into foster homes. Some might be struggling to cope in kennels, while others might be recovering from surgery, or are part of an ongoing prosecution case and need a break from the kennel environment. Some of these dogs may have never been in a home environment before so being placed in a temporary foster home can often give them the confidence and skills they need to go on and lead happy, contented lives. We are looking for foster homes within driving distance of the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre (TA3). Full support will be provided and expenses are covered. Fostering can be an extremely rewarding experience and can make so much difference to the lives of the dogs at the Centre. This event was aimed at helping pets and their owners out in the community. We offered free vet checks, behaviour advice and help with neutering and treatment vouchers. The weather on the day was awful but despite this over 20 neutering vouchers were given out, 17 pets were microchipped and nine owners got advice from expert behavourist Catherine Tomlinson. All in all it was a busy and successful day and we hope to hold more such events in the future.
