Several years ago I took a part-time job on the side delivering pizzas so I could pay cash for summer vacation, as well as, birthday and Christmas gifts. Many of the lessons I learned while delivering pizzas are applicable to any job in any industry. Make Sure You Are The Driver
Every industry and company has positions that have a higher earning potential than others. In the pizza shop world that position is the delivery driver. Delivery drivers are paid a much lower hourly wage; however, they have a much higher earning potential because of tips. The amount a driver is tipped is completely in her own hands. Qualities like a great attitude, personality, and friendliness largely affect the amount customers will tip. What job in your industry provides opportunities to earn more?
