The Problem:
In factories around the world, workers labor every day to make a living. However, these wages are often less than the bare minimum needed to pay for the day’s expenses. Essentials such as food, clean water, and adequate living space- basic needs that are readily available to us- are scarce for the majority of the world’s population, especially in countries like India.
Furthermore, their working conditions are more often than not hazardous and life-threatening. Then, why is it then that American businesses are able to profit so much from their labor and make large extraneous sums of money, at the expense of their employees health and safety?
