St Andrews School Fair
The St Andrews School Fair was a great success or a
couple of reasons. Firstly, it was a very enjoyable school
event where all sections of the School Community were
able to come together for a fun afternoon.
Secondly, the School Fair was a very, very successful
fund raiser for charities supported by the school. The
total amount raised was an amazing 279, 881.5B. This
included a very generous donation of 120,000B towards
Operation Smile from Khun Pattamaporn Ann Nokhong
from the Laemthong Shopping Plaza Rayong. Other large
donations included 30,000B from the parent Decou Page
group who made and sold some very nice designer bags
and wallets and 29,530B from the Primary and
Secondary Student Councils. There were also a large
number of smaller but equally important donations from
other members of the school community, including the
PTG, who ran stalls on the day. Thanks must also go to all
the families who donated raffle prices or purchased
raffle tickets. All these elements combined to raise this
amazing amount of money that will go to help others.
The Year 12 students organized and ran the Fair. It is
now their job to allocate how the funds will be spent.
The plan so far is:
120,000B will be used for the next Operation
Smile Medical Mission
60,000B will be donated to Habitat for Humanity
to support their Philippines disaster relief effort.
The other 119,881.5B will be used to go
towards another St Andrews Habitat for
