The main aim of the retreat was to help prepare our students for the challenges of the IB Diploma. The workshops addressed thinking skills, the learner profile, writing personal statements, preparing for the Extended Essay, bringing English texts to life through drama, designing your own school curriculum and starting to organize the St Andrews School Fair. The students worked really hard and got a lot out of the retreat. The students learnt that complex tasks can be completed by breaking them down into a series of smaller steps Mid Term Break The term 1 mid term break is now just around the corner with students and staff all looking forward to a well earned break. The first day of the mid term break is Saturday October 19 (straight after International Day). Students are expected back at school on Monday October 28. Have a restful few days off!
