St.  Andrews  International  School,  Green  Valley   February  10,  2014   Straight A*’s & A’s the Aim for IGCSE Quartet   The results from the recent IGCSE Mock Exams were as impressive as the IB Diploma results. Our Year 11 IGCSE students however achieve grades from A* - G rather than 1 – 7 as they do   in IB.     Of particular note in our recent Mock Exams were the results achieved by four of our students. Mo, Ty and Im all achieved 8 A*’s and A’s whilst Ed achieved 7. With these 4 students all opting to take the additional challenge of Triple Award Science, they therefore have the chance (and ambition) to achieve 9 and in some cases 10 IGCSE’s at A* or A. Good luck   Additional IGCSE and IB Lessons Available In the lead up to the IGCSE and IB exams, many teachers are making themselves available at lunchtimes and after school so that students have additional chances to revise. Below is the schedule of the additional tutoring that is available. We strongly encourage students to take up these extra opportunities that are on offer. Students come to school as normal on Thursday Feb 13 but not on Friday Feb 14 as it is the Macha Bucha Day Public Holiday. The mid term break is then from Feb 15 – 23 with students expected back at school on Monday February 24.
