Spotlight on Secondary Christmas Presents for Camillian Centre Children Parents, students and staff are all invited to make a donation of a Christmas present for children at the Camillian Centre. As a recommendation, we would like to suggest that presents:  Have a maximum value of 500B  Do not need batteries to operate  Are wrapped and labeled clearly as a present for either a boy or a girl Tel: 0380 30701/3 ▪ 0388 93716/8 [email protected] www.standrews-schools.com Remembrance Poppies Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Remembrance Poppy Appeal. In total we raised 6,090B which was a great effort. St Andrews was also presented with a special certificate for supporting this worthwhile cause for the last 5 years. If you would like to help, please leave your presents under the Christmas tree located outside of the school office. As in previous years, Santa will visit our End of Term Assembly (Dec 13), collect the presents and then deliver them to the Camillian Centre. Thank you for your kindness. End of Term Arrangements Students will remain on a normal schedule of lessons right until the final day of term 1 (Friday Dec 13). Friday December 13 will be a half day with students studying in periods 1 – 4, before attending a whole school assembly at 1230, finishing at 1pm. School buses will be ready as ever to transport students home. Term 2 starts again on Monday January 6, 2014. The end of year assembly will as always include a visit from Santa. Who do you think will be dressing up as Santa this year? Carols By Candlelight This very enjoyable family evening takes place on Monday December 9 from 6.30pm – 8pm. Carols will be sung by students from all year groups throughout the school as well as staff and interested parents. This magical evening under the stars is great for a family and friends picnic so please come along with a mat or blanket, food and drinks and enjoy the show. Candles will be on sale on the night.
