St. Andrews International School, Green Valley March 28th , 2014 FOBISSEA Short Story Competition The Y5/6 exceptional learners have been writing entries for the Fobisia Short Story Competition. They had to write a short story (max 600 words) on the theme MAGIC? All 7 students wrote fantastic entries and it was very difficult as we can only choose 1 finalist to send through. Well done Jennisa Y6, Samantha Y6, Arnon Y6 and Kim Y6 and Jake Y5, KaiaY5 and Sebi Y5.After much deliberation – because they were ALL of such high quality, we have decided to send Jennisa Scott’s entry, with Kaia Lundin’s a VERY close second. If anyone wants to read them they will be on display in TB2 and will soon be posted on our St Andrews Green Valley Facebook. Fingers crossed for Jennisa in the final! St Andrews Green Valley Primary Kids Helping Others. On the January 18th children from the Fountain of Life came to play football with students from St Andrews. We felt very bad for seeing the kids playing football with clothing that was not appropriate. So the Student Council decided to ask students to donate any old sports clothes and shoes. We made an announcement in assembly asking students to bring in sorts clothes and shoes that they didn’t need anymore. Some students brought in bags of clothes and shoes. A representative from the Fountain of Life came and collected the donations. Thank you to everyone who donated clothes and shoes, we are sure the children appreciated the donation. The student council was really happy to help!
