Year 1 Field Trip to Utapao Airport – ‘Journeys’
Year 1 spent time organizing what they needed to pack
for their field trip to the Utapao Airport and Navy
Beach on Tuesday and when they arrived at school,
they were clearly excited and prepared to make the
most of the learning opportunities along the way. The
children were able to see aid supplies being loaded
onto planes going to the Philippines and also got to see
the inside of a plane engine. It was exciting to hear the
jet planes taking off, making an ear piercing noise.
At the beach the students created their own activities,
sharing toys and equipment that they brought along.
Shell collecting, constructing drainage systems in the
sand, making sandcastles, fishing and drawing were
among the many fun and stimulating learning
opportunities taking place. A wonderful day was
enjoyed by all!

Radical Theatricals ‘The Wind in the Willows’
Another successful ‘Radical Theatricals’ production
took place yesterday in front of a full crowd in the
school canteen. Great scenery and costumes, talented
actors and singers; and of course clever and
professional directing/producing ensured a fun-filled
show for an appreciative audience. Congratulations to
all the people involved in “The Wind in the Willows’
