How To Find A Registered Electrician
Take care when selecting an electrician to
work in your home
As an electrician working in your local
area, I see many instances where electrical
work has been carried out in a dangerous
way. Dangerous electrical work puts you
and your family in danger of electrical
shock and house fire, does not meet the
latest electrical regulation standards, and
chances are the work is not guaranteed
against defect either.
Authorised register of electricians in
England and Wales who are suitably
qualified and registered to work in peoples
homes.
Check that the electrician you are planning
on using appears on this register which
can be found on:
www.electricalcompetentperson.co.uk
Before you use the services of an
electrician always make sure they are
qualified and Part P registered.
Unqualified and unregistered electricians
cost YOU money. Most people using the
services of people like this end up having
to pay twice. It is more cost effective to
pay once and get the job done properly the
first time.
Part P registration is essential as without
certification the electrical work does not
meet the Part P regulation. It is far more
costly to seek Part P certification for
electrical work separately and even then it
may not meet the standard.
Never DIY electrical work or use the
services of someone who is not on the
register. Never settle for anything less than
a qualified and registered electrician when
having electrical work carried out in your
home.
Checking qualifications and registration
details is much easier now following
