Great News!!!
Edwinstowe Lions
Helen Mower from Bluebell Wood Hospice
has recently informed Edwinstowe Lions
that ALL 8 of the Community Nurse Kit
Bags they have been striving for have been
secured.
This is great news for the Hospice as the
already fantastic support that is given to
the children and their families will be further
enhanced by the addition of the kits.
The Lions have supported Bluebell Wood
in their tireless endeavours to provide the
best possible care for those children in our
community that need it most.
Thanks to everyone in our area who has
given to the Lions Benevolent fund, be
it for Santa’s Sleigh Pull, the Race Night,
Easter Egg Raffle or any other event, it is
YOUR money that has provided the kits for
Bluebell Wood. THANK YOU and please
continue to support The Edwinstowe &
Dukeries Lions Club. Every penny that is
raised through our benevolent fund is given
to worthwhile causes.
A special thanks to Helen and Kevin Barker
of The Red Lion Walesby who invited the
Lions to run a raffle and tombola at the
pub to raise money for Bluebell Wood and
the Blind Veterans. A BBQ was arranged
and the event was well attended with
entertainment provided by Pete Jones.
The raffle raised £226 and the tombola
£124, so the total of £350 will be donated
to Bluebell Wood and the Blind Veterans
UK. Thanks to all concerned.
Barbara Ramsden (Chairman) from the
Multiple Sclerosis Society wrote to the
