This tool attaches to the Trilift Variable Work Tables to provide a safer more efficient method of handling wheel nuts on large mining and earthmoving equipment , according to Hedweld . It is designed and manufactured to access both outer and inner wheel nuts .
By semi-automating this maintenance task , personnel are positioned at a safer distance from the task , Hedweld said .
The Trilift ® TH15000 Workshop Tire Handler , meanwhile , has been designed to provide a maintenance tool for the safe removal and installation of wheel assemblies and front hub , brakes and seals .
It resolves safety issues like tyre fall and tyre failure incidents and access to wheel nuts that places personnel in the line-of-fire .
Having a narrow footprint of 9.3 ft ( 2.8 m ) wide by 17.6 ft ( 5.4 m ) long , it allows personnel to work in confined work bay spaces . It does not require the adjacent work bays to be left vacant either .
In independent trials , the TH15000 Workshop Tire Handler was proven to be 60-75 % more efficient than standard tyre handlers , improving workshop productivity by 47 %, according to Hedweld . These stats mean it offers a return on investment after handling just 99 tyres .
The Trilift CR20000 Component Balance Rotator is also another product the company will be previewing in Las Vegas .
This rotator has been designed and manufactured to enable the handling and rotation of various components including large earthmoving wheel assemblies , final drives , dozer track frames and wheel motors .
Working in conjunction with an existing workshop overhead crane , this remotecontrolled unit allows maintenance staff to safely and efficiently lift and rotate wheel assemblies and other components within the confines of a single workshop bay , Hedweld explained .
Rounding out the range is the Trilift Tire Stand , which has been designed as a convenient maintenance tool for the safe , temporary storage of a tyre and / or wheel assembly . This product will handle tyres and rims up to 15,000 kg , ranging in size from 27 R49 to 59 / 80 R63 .

lightest , brightest and most versatile Dual Beam cap lamps on the market . The new Dual Beam version of its Polaris , a top selling cap lamp in the mining industry with over 100,000 lamps sold , will be on display .
All of NLT ’ s IoT-enabled cap lamps , which accommodate tracking and / or proximity tags from many of the globe ’ s top third-party solutions providers , will soon feature the Dual Beam design . NLT says it was the first company to introduce Smart Lamps in 2012 with its Genesis solution and is now the only company in the world to have a semi-corded lamp , the Eagle , that will hold both tracking and proximity tags .
Each Dual Beam lamp will have three distinct beam pattern settings : Focused Spot , for which NLT is known for ; Wide Angle Flood Light , a flat , even light ideal for close-up work ; and Dual Beam , which combines both beam patterns to provide a centre spot with great peripheral lighting .
An added feature , the Dynamic Turbo Beam ( DTB ), enables each of the three settings to have its light output increased by almost 30 %. The focused spot setting , for example , increases from 9,000 lux to almost 12,000 lux . DTB is activated by pressing and holding the lamp ’ s button and engages for five minutes with each activation . The lamp allows the user to continue using DTB until the internal sensor detects that the battery has reached a minimum level that would enable it to provide 14 hours of standard brightness , the company said .
Dual Beam will be available for the Polaris cap lamp early in the December quarter and will be incorporated into all of NLT ’ s cap lamps in the March quarter of 2022 . The company will be showing prototypes at its booth .
Matrix Design Group , a safety and productivity technology leader for mining and industrial applications , has been actively expanding its products and services for the mining market .
At MINExpo 2021 , it will debut a new collision avoidance system for underground and surface mining operations , the OmniPro ® camera safety system . Matrix has developed OmniPro using the latest artificial intelligence ( AI ) and machinelearning technologies to provide a cost-effective , easy-to-install system that does not require personnel to wear a device or tag . This AI technology received the 2020 NIOSH Technology Innovations Award .
Increased interest in the application of data and analytics for the mining industry has driven Matrix to expand its networking , sensor and software package offerings , all of which will be on display in Las Vegas . Matrix has developed – and is currently expanding – a holistic networking infrastructure package for the mining market focused on increasing production efficiencies and expanding data analysis .
