Mom Shoot to meet two lovely and smart women with an amazing
business plan! Here's their story and some Q & A on how their company
A+ School Supplies got started!
Tell me about your
business.
A+ School Supplies is a locally owned
pre-packaged school supply company. We
cater to public, private, & charter schools
located in the Tri-County Area. We are
dedicated to providing all of our schools high
quality products with a variety of services to
accommodate each individual school. Our
company uses the school provided grade level
supply list and packages it for each individual
student. Each box is labeled with the child’s
name and grade and personally delivered into
their classroom. This is all done prior to the
first day of school.
Ladies, how did this
become your passion?
At first it started with Fran’s unpleasant
experiences shopping for her sons’ school
supplies. She was running around from store
to store, hunting for several specific items,
and paying high prices. After standing in line
so many times, she knew there was a better
way and wished someone could have been
doing this for her. As Amy was listening to
Fran complain about it one day, we came up
with the idea of A+ School Supplies and in
2006 the business began. What had started
as a business opportunity the real passion
came as we started being able to give back to
