The players from the MWJHL come from all over and because it’s one of the few female junior leagues in Canada, it offers women a chance to keep playing after they’ve aged out of midget or high school hockey. The schedule is such that it also offers the players a chance to work or continue with their educations. They play a few times a week at the MTS Iceplex so make sure you find the time to go and watch. Our photographers, Jeff Miller and James Carey Lauder have done just that. l Goalie Stephanie Caryk, Polar Ice Jordyn McInnes, Stonewall Midget AA 38 / sportslife
