Desiree to FIND new ‘Destroyers’
The Canadian National Team’s Desiree Scott will be
back in Winnipeg for her second KidSport soccer camp
on Saturday, Nov. 7 and Sunday, Nov. 8, at the UNITED
Health & RecPlex at the University of Winnipeg. “I’m
really excited that KidSport and I are back at it again
with our second annual camp,” said Scott. “Last year
was a massive success and I had an awesome day on
the field with all the girls that came out to become
‘Destroyers in the making.’ I’m looking forward to
this year’s camp, which will be even bigger and better
with lots to learn and enjoy!” Scott, along with some of
the top Manitoba players and coaches, will take kids
through soccer-specific speed and agility training,
fundamental drills and ball familiarity exercises.
Along with the technical side of the game, the camp is about having as much fun as possible while learning other
important skills such as teamwork, leadership, dedication, self-confidence and how hard work pays off. The
camp is for girls aged nine to 18 years old. Registration is open to the public.
