Soccer
While playing for a club team is exciting, there is something dif-
ferent about playing for your school. The name on the front of the
jersey just means so much so more. The pride a player has playing
for their school is much different than playing for their club team.

While the competition
is much better during
the club season, the high
school season gives players
a chance to bond and play
for their school. They are
playing to win a section-
al title. They are playing
to win as a team, and for a
school.
Sometimes playing for a
club team, players focus on
themselves and what they
need to work on as col-
lege coaches are lining the
stands during the games.

“Playing at Kenmore
West is definitely chal-
lenging. We don’t have a
large roster, which makes
it harder to compete with
teams in our league,” stat-
ed Tobin. “However, we try
our hardest for the full 80
minutes and just have fun
together as a team. I try not
to compare club soccer to
Kenmore West. Both of my
teams are filled with great
girls that give it their all.”
One of the players she
loves to play with at Ken-
more West is fellow strik-
er Faye Papopolous. When
she was healthy, Tobin and
Papopolous formed a dead-
ly combination that many
teams couldn’t handle.
