THE PULSE November 2016 Edition º HEALTH & WELLBEINGº STORY The HBHM campaign allows us to highlight the importance and benefits associated with making healthy chioces. the nus scotland and scottish student sport The award focuses around three key areas: On the back of our successful campaign in 2015/16. The Sports Union are again coordinating the D&A HBHM award submission - where we look to achieve 4 star status. To date we have worked hard and have seen the launch our new Multi-year strategy after it gaining approval from the Sports Union development committee. º PHYSICAL ACTIVITY º MENTAL HEALTH º NO-SMOKING Working around these key areas we aim to encourage students and staff alike to make these healthier choices. Through social media campaigns, events and mini competitions we aim to show that by making little changes to your daily routine, you really can reap many rewards/benefits. HBHM highlights so far include: ºSports Intern post with dedicated HBHM responsibilities º Clean Air Campus signage º Urban Gym launched in Arbroath º Sports facility agreement continuing SPORTS INTERN For the month of November Megan our Sports Intern will be delivering various activities to support our Healthy Body Healthy Mind campaign. Activities vary from free staff and student Body Composition tests, Josh Gregory mini-sports and physical activity competitions to our new walking Sport & Wellbeing Assistant group.
