34 SportsUnion | AUGUST 2017 From Page 21 “I love the offen- sive side of the game and love working on improving that part of my game. I would pick offense over the defensive side of the game,” stated Rogows- ki. “I pretty much do what I’m asked of by my coaches, wheth- er school or travel, I try to do whatever is needed for my team to succeed.” All this success has yet to led to offers for college. Every athlete would like to play at the next level and Ro- gowski no different. She would like to see where the game could take and has the con- fidence to make the jump. She gets that confi- dence from playing travel ball with the West Seneca Magic. The Magic are a pre- miere travel team in Western New York and have some of the best girls from the area on the team. Her success on the travel circuit will hopefully get the col- lege coaches noticing her game. “I have loved ever sec- ond playing for Magic. I have met the people that have become my forever friends and part of my family. We have accomplished so much more then any of us could have imag- ined. We have won back to back national championships, both A and B nationals,” explained Rogowski. “Travel ball has given me the best opportu- nities of my life and shaped me into the player I am. It allowed me the opportunity to get to play in front of college coaches and continue my playing time at the next level.” Of course none of this could be possible without the support of her family. They are the ones getting up at all hours on the week- end to drive to tour- naments and staying there - and doing it all over again. They are those ones that are there to sup- port her during her good games and bad. Without that support system who knows where she would be both athletically, and academically. “My family is a huge part of how I got to where I am. My dad has coached me since I started playing and has made me who I am today,” said Rogows- ki. “I am very grate- ful that I’ve had him throughout this jour- ney and would not be here without him. Not only has my dad been there for me, my team has become my fami- ly and they have been there for me through everything.”
