Although winning certainly means a lot there are many facets of the way Tom Brady plays to support his GOAT status. With Tom Brady you know pretty much exactly what you’re going to get game from game. His efficiency and output in his passing game are absolutely incredible. Eight times in his career Tom has reached the 4,000 yard mark in passing yards. Fifty-one times and counting Tom has engineered a game-winning drive when down or tied in the fourth quarter(Patriots). No lead is safe when Tom Brady is the opposing quarter back. Every player makes mistakes but Tom Brady is pretty good at avoiding them. To win in the NFL you can’t turn the ball over and Tom has always done a great job of that. Twenty-one times in his career Tom Brady has thrown for four or more touchdowns without throwing an interception, Tied with Drew Brees for most instances (Patriots). He also holds the record for most games in a row without throwing an interception, eleven times. It seems that Tom Brady manages to almost always make the right decisions and rarely makes the wrong one.

Tom Brady’s career stats are already almost unmatchable, and with 2-5 years left in his career and no signs of slowing down these numbers will only continue to grow. Tom Brady dominates that stats sheets both in the regular and post-season. Although he doesn’t lead in all categories Tom Brady is at least top-4 in completions (5,244), passing yards (61,582), passing touchdowns (456), passer rating (97.2), fourth-quarter comebacks (38) and game-winning drives (49) in the regular season (ESPN). These numbers will only grow as Tom Brady looks to have a couple more years in his career. What’s even more impressive is Tom’s post-season output. I can’t remember a time where the Patriots haven't made the playoffs and it seems that Tom Brady manages to play at an even higher level in the playoffs compared to the regular-season. Brady is the all-time postseason leader in completions (788), passing yards (8,628), passing touchdowns (61), fourth-quarter comebacks (six) and game-winning drives (nine) (ESPN). His stats should be astounding to anyone who enjoys the game of football and effectively quiets most Tom Brady haters.

To me Tom Brady cemented his GOAT status with his fourth Super Bowl win. Some people attempt to argue that Joe Montana is the greatest but that argument seemed to disappear with Tom Brady’s continued excellence and his fifth Super Bowl win. If any of his stats appear to taint the GOAT argument, he’ll probably fix said stats in the last couple years of his career. It also seems that he might squeeze out one more Super Bowl win before he retires, which would put him even higher on his pedestal compared to other NFL greats. Tom Brady has had a storied career. His efficiency and winningness speak for themselves and pretty much no other player can even compare. Tom Brady is my GOAT and should be yours too.
