The GOAT

By Cam Schulte

It should be clear enough already who the best NFL player of all time is. Growing up a New England sports fan there has never been much doubt that Tom Brady is the greatest to ever play the game of football. This guy is pretty much a super hero to anyone who's a fan of the Patriots. Tom Brady is the GOAT for a lot of reasons, and at this point even fans of rival teams have almost no logical argument for anyone else. Tom Brady is the most efficient quarterback to ever play the game. Paired with possibly the greatest coach of all time it’s hard to not favorite the Patriots any given week. It’s even more impressive to me that this god-like human is still just as good a player at forty and he was at twenty-five and thirty years old. To me and any sports fan who can recognize talent its pretty clear: Tom Brady is the greatest player of all time.

To be the GOAT in any sport one of the most important things you need to do is win, and all Tom Brady does is win. Only three quarter backs have ever one four or more super bowls. Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana both won four super bowls over their careers. Winning Super Bowl LI gave Tom his 5th super bowl win making him 5-2 all time playing in the big game. The man has a full hands worth of rings. This pretty much shut anyone who was still trying to argue that Joe Montana was the GOAT. Tom Brady, not including this year, is 183-52 in regular season games in which he started. This paired with twenty-four playoffs wins, the most of all time, is simply staggering(ESPN JC). Tom Brady and Bill Bellicheck are the winningest duo since the AFL-NFL merger with a whopping .779 winning percentage (Patriots).Tom Brady wins, a lot.
