J.J Watt #99

J.J Watt is a defensive end for the Houston Texans. Just 5 weeks into the season, one of the NFL’s most feared players was involved in a motorcycle accident and has not made a return to the sport. This now leaves the Texans at a huge disadvantage for the season, due to the absence of their star player. Watt was named Sports Illustrated player of the year in 2017, and has many more achievements including several Pro Bowl appearances, but the one achievement Watt and his team lack is a Super Bowl Victory.

Richard Sherman #25

Richard Sherman is a feared cornerback in the NFL, and has helped contribute with a Super Bowl win in 2014, and another appearance the next year. Sherman currently plays for the Seattle Seahawks, along with many other stars like Russell Wilson, Jimmy Graham, and Michael Bennett. The cornerback is currently recovering from a torn achilles tendon, despite being out for the season, Sherman has more seasons ahead of him in the future.

Aaron Rodgers #12

Aaron Rodgers is one of the top quarterbacks currently in the game of football. Suffering from a dislocated shoulder early this season, he is back at practice but not cleared medically for games and may undergo surgery in the near future. With his injury, The Green Bay Packers are lacking chemistry on the field and have yet to improve with their backup quarterback Brett Hundley. If they don't adapt soon they may not qualify for playoffs this 2017 season.

Odell Beckham Jr. #13

The New York Giants wide receiver is without a question a top contender in the game. Unfortunately his team recently announced he will be undergoing ankle surgery sometime soon after his injury against the Los Angeles Chargers. This will be a huge setback for Eli Manning and the rest of the New York Giants. The team also has Brandon Marshall, another wide receiver star with an ankle injury this season.

Other injured stars: Ameer Abdullah, Adrian Peterson, Greg Olsen, Tyrod Taylor, Antonio Brown, Cam Newton, Brandon Marshall, Deshaun Watson, and Dont'a Hightower.
