The Run Home

The National Basketball Association is nothing but an interesting organisation to say the least. If nothing is happening on the court, something is happening off it and vise-versa, this year is no exception. From David Stern retiring, Jason Collins being the first openly gay male athlete to play some minutes in the NBA. Kobe Bryant's injury to LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony both dropping 60 plus points each. Michael Carter-Williams having an outstanding debut game and the drama of NBA powerhouse franchises, Boston and Los Angeles Lakers. Who both might not make the playoffs for the first time in many, many years. The 2013/14 season has had it all.

Now is when things begin to get real. The All-Star weekend has come and gone which traditionally is the half way mark of the season. Teams now start to show us their cards a little and start ramping up their play. The men get separated from the boys. The cream rises to the top. For some, they are just counting down the days till next season as they have no chance of playing playoff basketball.

With about a month to go (give-or-take) in the regular season. I thought I'd go through both conferences, see if there are any movers or shakers amongst the contenders and see where teams will be seeded come seasons end.
