The offensive game of Al Jefferson is high, peaking near career-high ppg; he has scored 40
points once, 30 or more points six times, and 20 or more points 16 times; which where all in the
past two months. Charlotte was in need of a defensive anchor and Bismack Biyombo, although
an above average center seems more one dimensional in his own regards, whereas Jefferson
can shoot, defend and has veteran experience. A combination of upcoming players,
sophomores, rookies and then the veteran touch of Jefferson can be lethal. This is why the
Bobcats have made their claim to the eighth spot in the East with a record of 23-30,
unfortunately one of their better seasons. It’s unfortunate because they have had a dismal
franchise for the most part, but there still is a shining light to their team and it’s a Big ‘Al’ of a
Difference between them being sub-par and playoff contenders.
