How can we help to prevent a natural disaster? This question should be an important reason to think in future generations, in the conditions that they’ll live. Currently, new packaging systems are being developed, much of these products contain materials that are not biodegradable. Also, approximately 40 million newspapers are thrown each day, leading to the equivalent of about half a million trees ending in landfills every week. Recycling is the best way to have a positive impact on the world in which we live. Recycling is very important as waste has a negative impact on the natural environment, it helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste, it requires less energy and it helps to preserve natural resources. The amount of waste we create is constantly increasing because there is an increasing population and new lifestyles like eating fast food, which often means that we are creating additional waste that isn’t biodegradable. Moreover, harmful chemical and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites. Also, habitat destruction and global warming are some of the effects caused by deforestation. Recycling reduces the needs for raw materials so that the rain forests can be preserved. Finally, recycling is essential to cities around the world and to the people living in them; the main idea is to preserve natural resources for future generations. Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment, inmanycitiesaroundtheworldthere’sstillagreatdealofwastewhichcouldberecycled that ends up in landfill sites which is harmful to the environment. Materials like aluminum, glass, paper and plastic could be recycled, actually, up to 80% of a vehicle can be recycled too, glass is 100% recyclable and can be used again and again, glass that is thrown away and ends up in landfills will never decompose. Also, an interesting fact is that it takes 24 trees to make 1 Ton of newspaper. In conclusion, recycling is the answer to live in harmony with the environment and take advantage of our natural resources..
