Shaw cross Sharks Shaw Cross Sharks AMATEUR RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB S haw Cross Sharks ARLFC does a fantastic job of providing people in their local area with the opportunity to play the game in a safe and enjoyable environment. Sport Yorkshire Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Joanne Wilson to find out more about the good work they have been doing lately. Joanne told us, “I personally, have been involved within the club for approximately ten years. I came to the club, as a parent when my son turned six, now in the U16’s. It was the local club where we lived and after asking around, it was also known to be a very good club.” “My husband Ian, the following year got involved with coaching the U7’s and I took on the role of attending monthly meetings run by the club to feed information back to the parents. Three years ago, the role of the Junior “I have been associated with the club for the past two seasons when my daughter started playing for the Shaw Cross Sharks. She currently plays for the under 14’s but has been ruled out this season due to injury; we are hoping she can catch the last few games of the season, but she is still getting involved with Lee the coach helping with paperwork etc. I have been a sponsor of the hoodie and shirts for this past season and would just like to say to the girls keep up the hard work and keep on winning, they are top of the table and hope they keep it up.
