“We have been associated with Huddersfield Giants Rugby Club for
the past five plus years now. Our MD David Moore is a big rugby
league fan and we first got connected with the club when Robbie
Paul came to see us. We are the club’s main sponsor and have a box
there along with shirt sponsors, advertising boards and seat covers
around the ground.
We often have customers use the box on match days and the
feedback we get from them is that they love the experience. We also
did a shirt amnesty for the Stanley Gee foundation in conjunction
with the Giants which was a huge success. From everyone here at
Bond It we would like to wish the club all the luck for the rest of the
season and hope they can start to win some games!”
Kirstie Cooper, Bond It

So far this season, they have put together a solid league
campaign, compiling a record of seven wins and nine defeats
from their sixteen league matches. This sees them sitting in a
safe midtable position with fourteen points on the board.
They will now be looking to put together a good run of
results in their remaining fixtures in order to finish in the best
league position possible. As long as they can keep their key
players free from injury they should be in with a good chance
of doing just that.
One of the highlights of the team’s performances this
season has been the attacking brand of rugby that they have
been able to produce. This has been reflected by the fact that
they have racked up 365 points in the league alone at a rate of
more than twenty per game.
This will certainly have meant that any supporters
attending their matches will have been well entertained and
should encourage more of the local community to get behind
the side in future. This in turn has the potential to provide
them with a valuable source of additional revenue which is
particularly important in the current financial climate.
Their recent 55-2 demolition of Hull FC at Anfield served to
highlight just how dangerous this side can be when on top of
their game. Fullback Darnell McIntosh was named Man of the
Match and spoke to www.giantsrl.com after the match, saying,
“It was a bit surreal really. We went out there to warm-up and
I saw the stadium and thought wow, this is a big occasion, this
is one of them fight or flight situations, you’ve got to step up.”
“I loved it to be fair. From the warm-up onwards, I had
a real big buzz in me and I just really enjoyed everything,
and I think that showed. I played with a lot of energy, I think
everybody did. We played with energy and passion and I
think it reflected in the score line.
“When I took over the business in 2016 I was keen to continue
the relationship with The Giants. We offer all the Eyecare for the
Giants including full sight tests and contact lens consultations
and are now looking at increasing our sports specialities along
with rugby.
We have top of the range equipment in practice to help
enhance the quality of the sight test and we are now focusing on
sport vision and are very interested in the difference it can make
for professional sports people. We currently sponsor Michael
Lawrence and are proud to support him in his testimonial year.”
