RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB
Skirlaugh RLFC is targeting a place in the
National Conference Premier Division and are
working hard as a club to achieve that goal. Sport
Yorkshire Magazine recently caught up with Club
Representative Steve Kennedy to find out more.
Involvement
Steve told us, “When I look back
and to where I am at the moment which
is the Chair Person of the club I feel
tremendously honoured and privileged
to be at the helm of this truly great club.

When my son Liam who was then aged
ten (which is eighteen years ago now!)
wanted to play rugby, we decided on
Skirlaugh who had then and always
have had an outstanding reputation for
being a good and well run club, not only
in our locality but throughout the game.
Obviously, I took Liam and watched,
then became a helper and then a Team
Manager at Under 16’s and progressed
to the open age section. I held
responsibility not only as a Committee
Member but also Team Manager for the
Skirlaugh Bulls in The Yorkshire Men’s
