The 45 metre high, 34 arch, Grade 2 listed structure bisects the site in the green and pleasant valley in which the club grounds nestle. Gareth Lewis is the Head Coach at the club. He started and ended his playing career at Huddersfield with a spell playing in the higher echelons in between. Lewis says he is immensely proud to be back at the club in a coaching capacity. “My association with the club goes back 24 years and I have just completed my 6th season as Head Coach. There is real positivity at Huddersfield. We have an enormous number of people who devote a huge amount of time to the club on and off the field which drives our whole club culture and has created a rugby environment in which players at all levels can thrive. Success at first team level is based on ‘old school’ values. It would be great to be able to progress to the third tier in the English Rugby Union pyramid but our achievements so far have been built on a strong and sustainable model which has served the club well. We are enjoying our current success and I am convinced we have a fantastic future ahead of us.” Article provided by Richard Sykes
