Northumberland FA “I am an ex-football player of Morpeth Town FC, playing fifteen seasons for the club, in my preferred position of striker. I am now the club’s chairman and have been since 1992, enjoy the role of chairman even with it being demanding at times. The guys have had a fantastic year this year in the league and the club is currently going through expansions ready for the step up. I have been sponsoring Morpeth Town since I became chairman in 1992 and have also been sponsoring the Northumberland FA for the last five/six years, doing various things including events nights and also sponsoring Cups. I appreciate all the hard work and time that goes into the Northumberland FA and Morpeth Town FC, and would love to see the game become more popular across the board in U18 teams. Real credit to everyone involved.” Techflow Marine provides a range of specialist products to the Offshore Oil & Gas and Marine industries. It is hoped these scholarships will reach budding coaches whom may not, for whatever reason, have the opportunity to achieve their coaching ambitions. We will then look to provide exciting exit routes for these coaches, whether being deployed back into our clubs or further afield. AC: Our ambition is to be the best County FA around, we want to provide an excellent service to all aspects of football in Northumberland to facilitate real growth in participation. We are currently looking into the feasibility of redeveloping or acquiring a new County FA Headquarters with a view to providing a first-class hub for the grassroots game in Northumberland. This project is very much in its infancy, however as a county FA we are very ambitious and we would ultimately like a high-spec facility to incorporate all aspects of the game. JA: We are currently approaching the midway point of our current four-year business plan and we have a mandate to grow the number of playing participants to 27,763 players by the end of season 2020/2021. To put that into perspective we currently house 24,144 players across all aspects of the grassroots game, therefore we are looking for a 15% rise in playing numbers of the next two seasons. I am sure you will agree these are very challenging numbers but we are confident we have a sound operational model in place to not just achieve these numbers but grow far past what is expected of us by The FA. “Global Image Embroidery became involved with the Northumberland FA roughly nine years ago through a friendship between Les Todd and myself and which he helped us be a part of such a respected affiliation. Over the business relationship our company has supplied embroidered staff uniform to the FA alongside sponsoring various competitions including women’s and juniors’ cups. It is great to be a part of such a local respected affiliation and a real credit to everyone working to help grow and expand the reach it has to get more people involved with the sport.” “Quadrant Leisure have been the Northumberland FA County Cup U12 sponsors since 2017. As a director I was very keen to support the grassroots game. I have been a licensed coach for 18 years so you could say the Northumberland FA have played a huge part in my time in grassroots. My coaching qualifications and CPD courses through the NFA have always been very well organised, very well attended and great fun. The NFA have offered me the opportunity to develop as a coach and supported my organisation with sound advice over the last two years.” Wayne Hall Dave Lattimer, Quadrant Leisure CiC SNE: What are your ambitions for the next five years? #REEVESGRASSROOTS Investing in the future www.reevesifa.com www.sportip.biz 7
