“Gap Waste have been involved with Newcastle Falcons for
around fifteen years by sponsoring a number of players. We
like to use the club’s facilities and take staff and clients down
to games as much as possible. We also have corporate days
twice a year at the club and I personally go to all the home
games.
The Falcons are a huge club and have a great support around
the North East and the club means a lot to all the fans.
Newcastle Falcons also give a lot back to the local community
and are always supporting from grassroots level. From all of us
here at Gap Waste we would like to wish everyone associated
with the club all the very best and we are all behind you for a
great finish to the season.”

looking at ways to improve the match-day
experience given all the competition for
people’s leisure time and money.
SNE: What are the club’s ambitions for the
next five years?
MS: Supporters generally roll their eyes
when they hear about five-year plans, so we’ll
keep it general and just say that we will look
to improve year on year.
That can be in league position, average
attendances, supporter experience, number of
homegrown players in the first team, number
of players in the England and Scotland teams
or something as simple as the number of local
children we engage with in our community
work.
The search for improvement is
constant, and rather than set a specific
target of achieving X in Year Y we are
just constantly looking to get better in
every area.
