Through their kind efforts , Tideford now has both site screens and covers for the wicket .
Other money has been raised over the years through race nights , barn dances , raffles , 6-a-side competitions and , of course , grants . Several significant grants have been obtained thanks to the efforts of committee members and these have helped with the rebuilding of the pavilion and provision of equipment , in particular for the children .
In conclusion , Tideford is in good heart and good hands but it does not underestimate the challenges in the future . It wishes to play an important role in providing cricket to be enjoyed by young and old alike . Tideford is not situated in the heart of a village and must attract people to it by advertisement . It is not a community club and has to work hard for its success . It welcomes all who have an interest in cricket .
