FOOTBALL CLUB
Y
ork City FC has had a very mixed campaign on the field this season with
plenty of highs and lows. There is much for the club to be positive about
moving forward and Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with Media
Officer Henry Valantine to find out more.
Atmosphere
He told us, “Within the club itself, the
mood is very positive, despite our league
position. We’ve been on a good run of
form to take us out of the bottom four
on goal difference at the time of writing,
so we’re hopeful that we will stay up
62
come the end of the season to take us to
Wembley in good spirits next month.”
This Season
“It hasn’t been easy by any stretch,
we’ve had our fair share of setbacks
but since the turn of the year, a change
in formation and playing personnel has
seen our form turn around, and at the
time of writing we have taken 19 points
out of a possible 30 in recent weeks to give
ourselves a fighting chance of survival.
Of course, we now want to see that battle
through and make sure we stay in the
National League for next season.
