About Us
Based in Gateshead in the North East of England, PPL
produces four UK magazines as well as the Australia/
New Zealand version of Sport in Profile. Our five titles
are Cricket Club, Football Focus, Rugby Club, Sport in
Profile and Sport in Profile ANZ.
Sport in Profile Magazine is committed to providing
the sporting world with a platform from which to share
ideas, best practice and information with content
provided by many leading figures within the industry
including Chairman, CEO’s, Presidents and Managers
of some of the top sporting establishments worldwide.
A major part of what we do is providing grassroots clubs
with a chance to highlight the work they are carrying
out with a focus on community involvement, youth
development, sound financial planning and sporting
success. The crucial role that these establishments
play in the industry cannot be overstated and they
regularly provide stories of astounding commitment,
dedication and integrity.

Editor’s Welcome
Issue 18 of Sport in Profile Magazine features one of the most diverse sets of activities of any of our
editions to date. Go Fest 2018, a festival of sport dance, health and fitness provides enough sports
to fill a whole magazine itself.
For tennis clubs in the UK we are entering the busiest time of the year so we caught up with Pocklington
and Alrewas to find out how they are getting along. Rounders England has also provided us with an
update on the fantastic progress they have been making.
Elsewhere, Seaford is a fine example of a well-run community club and we gain an insight into the art
of Hapkido with Hapkido Teesside.
We are always keen to hear from anyone with a story to tell so whether you wish to promote a
business, a club, individuals, initiatives or products please do not hesitate to contact our editorial
team at [email protected] or call me directly on 0191 447 8383.
Yours in Sport
