Rob Hooper Racing has been established since 1991 and in 2016 became
the official Motocross team for Yamaha in the UK. Sport in Profile
Magazine recently caught up with Rob Hooper to find out more.
He told us, “I have been involved in motocross my whole life.
My dad was a rider back in the 1950 and 60s when it was still
called scrambling. I started racing myself in the late 1960s and
was fortunate enough to make a career as a professional rider
until retiring in 1987.”
“I then became the motocross team manager for Suzuki
GB. In 1991 we started ‘Rob Hooper Racing’ and ran the
Suzuki Moto cross team under contract to Suzuki GB. I stayed

my team to Yamaha with direct support from Yamaha UK.
