SIP : What do you believe could be some of the biggest challenges you may face in the next 5 years ?
PW : There is no hiding the fact that speedway as a sport in the UK has struggled in recent years . However , in Poland , for example , it appears to be booming . The challenge for UK speedway is to build up the number of riders competing and the number of fans watching . There is nothing wrong with the basic premise of speedway : four people on 500cc motorbikes racing with no brakes , racing around a short , stadium circuit .
The challenge is to make every race a thriller .
SIP : What are your ambitions for the next 5 years ?
PW : The Eastbourne IT First Eagles ambition is to win the National League . Win it , then we ’ ll see …
