Having first been established in 1904 it has retained its archaic charm and has been extended in recent times. It has a charming wood panelled bar with extensive sea views towards Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands and overlooks the first tee. They have a wide range of drinks and bar snacks available and there is also the option to purchase golf items or a memento of their visit. 68 Issue 12 As well as the bar they also have a dining room which offers seating for up to 60 people with meals available to be served by arrangement. The dining room overlooks the putting green and the sea towards the Farne Islands. Having such a good quality clubhouse has the potential to provide the club with a valuable source of additional revenue all year round which is particularly important in the current financial climate. They are also able to offer separate Ladies and Gentlemen’s changing rooms, toilets and showers.
