Facilities
“We have just before Christmas, given
the inside of the clubhouse including the
bar and male toilets a huge clean up and
painted these areas also. We are also
looking to put plans in place over the
next few years where we will look to
continually decorate the club and
keep it to a very high standard.
Facilities wise we have
very good facilities available
for cricket with an umpires
changing room, indoor score
hut with heating (which is
necessary to play cricket in the
Scottish summer) a nd 2 showers
for each home and away
changing rooms.
We also have a bowling
machine, double lane nets and a
newly installed artificial wicket for
2016. We were also the first club in the
Scottish Borders to have floodlights and
have sight screens at each end meaning
we are one of the best equipped clubs in
the league.”

Challenges/Ambitions
“The biggest challenge that we face
is the continual struggle to keep players
playing which I am sure any club will
agree can be a problem at times.
Keeping the junior section of the club
thriving is also a huge task. We will
also be looking to keep the social
side of the club as active and
organise as many fundraising
activities for the community as
possible.
The main ambition for the
next 5 years will be to increase
playing numbers and get the
club back into East League
Division 1 and back competing in
the Border League and hopefully
winning the trophies available to
us. We will also be building toward
the clubs 125th anniversary season in
2020 where we hope to be playing in the
highest league possible for the club.”
