With a play area and picnic and Barbeque area nearby it is a perfect option for the entire family to enjoy. At present the club is led by Chairman Brendan Murphy who is supported by Treasurer Ralph Wright and the club is looking to progress under their guidance. The club professional is Martin Forster who also plays a key role in the club’s success. They pride themselves on providing anyone visiting the course with a warm welcome and have built a reputation for the friendly atmosphere created. One of the most challenging holes on the course is the 18th which has a dog-leg to the left. The green is protected by a gully containing a burn that will take a ball that is being run in. The split level green is surrounded by bunkers and there is an out of bounds area off of the green to the left and the rear. There are plenty of other interesting variations across the course and Open Competitions are regularly held to allow golfers to test their skills. A lot of work goes into ensuring that the course is the best that it can be and this is reflected by the fact that it is very rarely closed due to bad weather with the aim of being open all year round wherever possible.
