“Youth development is extremely important to us – our
junior section is very strong with 57 members (16 of which
have handicaps of 28 and below). Our junior organiser Simon
Nicholas has just won the award for Welsh Golf Club Volunteer
of the year from Golf Union of Wales – award ceremony to take
place in February at Celtic Manor – our under 14’s currently
enjoy free membership and regular coaching sessions from our
professionals. We have a full programme of events throughout
the year all of which is co-ordinated by our junior organiser in
his own time; something we are extremely grateful to him for
