Gosforth FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/SPORT_IP Gosforth GOLF CLUB F irst established in 1906, Gosforth Golf Club is based at Broadway East in Newcastle upon Tyne and is known as ‘The Bridle Path’. Over the years the club has put together a history of which it has every right to be proud. It is a picturesque 90 acre course in an idyllic location and is one of the regions hidden gems. The course is designed to be suitable for all levels of golfer and provides a suitable challenge for anyone. It is an 18 hole, par 69, private, parkland golf course that is a total of 6084 yards. The club’s professional is Grahame Garland whilst their Captain is Tom Gaffney and the members are incredibly proud of their course. It has seen a number of layout over the 100 plus years of existence to improve what they are able to offer. Thanks to this they are now able to boast a course of immense character with one of the major features being the Ouse Burn which winds its way down the 18th and through the 4th on its way to 46 Issue 11
