lillington junior fc FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/SPORT_IP Lillington Junior fc Lillington Junior FC was first established in November of 2013 and is now an FA Charter Standard Development Club and was also awarded the FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year award for their local area. We recently caught up with club founder Ryan Cranton to find out more about the good work they have been doing. Establishing the Club He told us, “I started the club in November 2013 and we had just 6 children at the first coaching session and there was myself as the only (qualified) Coach. Since we started we have created another 20 qualified coaches, with the FA courses all paid for by our club, we have promoted heavily as a unique football club that doesn’t judge on ability and we welcome ALL children regardless of ability.” Last Season “Last season, our first season, we had 6 league teams, we have doubled in size to 12 teams for this season with league teams from U7s to U12s who play matches every week. We also hold weekly coaching sessions for these age groups, with U5s and U6s also welcome at our weekly coaching sessions to help with development of football, confidence and social skills.” The Role “The most rewarding part of my role is seeing all the boys and girls at our club with a smile on their face at the coaching sessions and matches, regardless of result, as they all love playing football with their new friends. s logo rature & g g e din rtisin & lit bran hures adve o e & ay broc aging y & vid & displ k h pac tograp hibition very i pho age, ex hics/l n o p sign cle gra roducti wear i rk p h o e v ng & nal & w imedia i t n i pr otio mult promsites & web rtin g FC 6RT iors rwick, CV34 n u Wa P nJ gto thena Drive, n i l l 2 Li t, A dl ro u y po Sup 1-1s.c1o.uk 1 3 6 lstudio 2 9 1 0 ww.pixe r Cou ena Ath , 9 Unit w 16 Issue 11 We heavily promote the insignificance of results at junior level and focus on the fun of playing football and the performance as a team. By focussing on these aspects of football we anticipate players will reach their level of potential by encouraging them to try new things and make mistakes they can resolve themselves, we feel this is the best way for children to learn instead of simply giving them answers to problems.” Atmosphere “Everyone is very excited to be part of the club; players, coaches and parents. We have received fantastic support from
